That's a Wrap...

I am sure you have noticed I am a little behind on our blog. I have had every intention of keeping up with pictures and such, but I just can't do it. I have decided that instead of updating the blog, I need to working on printing pictures and putting them in a photo album (I haven't printed a picture since parker was 7 months old). Most of you are on facebook and see rambles there, and if not I am going to start a monthly picture e-mail. Please let me know if you would like to be on the monthly e-mail and I will try to be better at getting some pictures out. mcgilby@yahoo.com Thank you everyone who has loved me and my boys!

Things are looking up!

New baby and I aren't broken after all! I had another physical therapy appointment this week and things are looking much better. The exercises I have been doing have been working because my muscles are stronger and the split in my abs has decreased in length and width. New baby is growing and moving like crazy. We did have a scare last week when I didn't feel the baby for a couple of days so we went to the hospital to have the baby monitored for an hour. The baby started moving as soon as they hooked the monitor up and hasn't stopped since.

Parker is also growing and moving like crazy. He has started swim lessons again and loves the pool. We have gone to the splash pool at the YMCA a couple of times and he does so well. He is so independent he runs in the water till he falls and refuses to let me hold his hand. He doesn't mind going under water if he falls, having the water rain down from the waterfall mushroom, or if he puts his face in on his own but doesn't like it if we put him under. He can count to 5, but usually skips 4. He can say A-B-C, and sings his own version of the alphabet. He loves music and loves to sing and dance. He talks up a storm, and will try to mimic anything you say. He has the funniest personality, and is the most amazing child ever!!
Cool Dudes!
Parker is a helper. He wants to do anything that I am doing, including cooking. In order to make dinner I have to give Parker his own cooking utensils and let him "stir" his own food. I try to pretend to put ingredients in by shaking the spices with lids on, but he is too smart for that. I normally end up putting some oatmeal or cereal in his bowl and have him stir it with blocks or something easily washable.
Notice the spatula in his hand here too. He was helping make dinner, but got hungry before it was done. He ended up using the spatula as his spoon and ate his whole dinner with it.
We turned the box from Parker's swing set into a clubhouse for him while the boys put the swing set together.
My little klutz has begun to climb, but he isn't very good at it. Parker has no grace or balance! Here he was trying to climb over the arm into the chair, but he got stuck half way there. In a matter of 2 days Parker fell enough times to cut the back of his head open on a rock, fall on his face and skin his chin, run into the futon and bruise his eye, fall and skin his knee, fall and skin his forehead, fall and skin the same knee in the same place for the second time in one day. From what I have heard that is just like his father when he was little. Let's hope he outgrows this cause he is going to give me a heart attack!

The Best Baby in the WORLD!!!!

We moved Parker into his big boy bed last week. The first three days were hard, he fell out or crawled out each night. The second night I heard him screaming and I found him stuck under his bed :) He has now slept a week straight in his bed without falling out. He goes to bed so well, and has only gotten out of bed when he wakes up in the morning.
Some cute random pics.
On Mother's Day we had a busy day with breakfast with my Mom, lunch at my Aunts, and margarita's and cards at our neighbors house. We came home that evening and found an univited guest trying to sneak into our house!!!!!!
Thankfully Cameron and Steve came to the rescue and killed the snake. We matched the markings on-line and we think it was a hooded night snake. Thankfully.... NOT a rattler!!!

Crappy Computers, Beautiful Babies & More

My computer took a crap a few weeks ago. Yes, my husband is a computer guy and I still have NO computer. We will be sharing his computer for now and it might take me a while to find the time to figure out how to get pictures to update the blog. So, for now I will just tell you what has been going on. Parker had surgery on April 1st to have tubes put in his ears. The surgery lasted about 5 minutes. Parker wasn't very happy when they woke him up, but after we got home and had some food and a nap he was back to his normal self. We didn't even need Tylenol!! It has been over 3 weeks and we have had no ear infections!! This is the longest we have gone without antibiotics or chiropractic care since he was 8 months old. He even had a cold last week that went away without going to his ears. We are SOOOOO freaking happy! Our good friends, Matt & Deann Ennen had their first baby on March 31st. Little Henry Wyatt Ennen was a healthy 9lb 7oz at birth and is over 15lbs at 3 weeks old. Our friends Brandi and Shayne also had a baby yesterday morning, a little boy named Gage Owen. I haven't heard anymore details, but I can't wait to get to Wisconsin and see my little guy!! Our new baby is growing. We are about 5 1/2 months along now and the baby is doing great, very active!! Sadly, I am not doing so well. Between an old work injury and issues from my pregnancy with Parker, I am a mess. I have seen a physiotherapist who is going to work with me to get my body in shape so I will be able to hold this little one in for the full 40 weeks, and so I will be able to have another natural delivery. I will be on a very light duty for the next few weeks, and if all goes well I will only have lifting restrictions after that. Those lifting restrictions will unfortunately include Parker. It has been 2 days and Matt is trying to pick up the slack. He does very well encouraging me to sit and relax, he also prefers to sit and relax with me :) Hope everyone is enjoying their spring!

Weekend with Grandma and Grandpa

Matt's parents are in town for a visit, and we had a very busy weekend. We started the weekend with the 4th avenue Street Fair and ended at the Rennasaince Festival. We had a lot of fun!! Once again, I still don't know how to format the pictures so they are in no particular order.

Spring Training 2010

We spent yesterday afternoon at Hi Corbett field watching the Spring Training Opening game between the Rockies and the Brewers with the Ennen's. Sadly, the Brewers handed the game away in the 7th inning but we had fun anyway.

Update on the Update

The security settings didn't help the formatting. Still no spaces or indents. If anyone knows what I can do to change this please let me know. Parker has another ear infection, 3rd in 6 weeks. Next week we will meet with specialist to talk about tubes. And finally, Parker had to make a liar out of me. All I had to do was write it down that he refused to stnd up without pulling up on a chair or something and he does it. Today he started standing up with out any assistance. He stood up in the middle of Applebees with no help this afternoon and repeated it for Daddy once we got home.

Long Overdue Update...

Well, I have a lot of apologizing to do. First, I have had one hell of a time formatting this blog and it may have been due to some security settings on the computer. Matt changed them tonight and now I have ABSOLUTELY no idea in what order any of these pictures are uploading or how this post is going to turn out. Also, it has been a while since I have done an update. I was working on every week or two with Parker and now this poor new baby is getting completely shafted. Now on the the actual update. We have had a very busy month. Matt started a new job for a company called Improvement Interactive. He is the Network Administrator, and it is a virtual company so everyone works out of their home. He has been there for a few weeks now and it is going very well. Working at home is an unusual set-up for us but we are working out the kinks. His company is also having a "Social" tomorrow and meeting at a Mexican restaurant for lunch and margaritas. I need a company like that! Parker is doing wonderful. He is such a smart, funny little boy. He is almost 15 months old now. I can't believe it!!! He is walking, but still refusing to stand up without pulling up on me or furniture. He can bend down to pick up toys and stand up, he just can't put two and two together to figure out he can stand up from sitting too. Even though he won't stand on his own, he is now trying to jump. He bends his legs down low and straightens them while yelling "JUMP", and he gets no air at all. It is adorable!! He talks a blue streak. He mimics what ever you say and can put words to objects. Some of his new words today are kisses, jump, grapes, and glasses. He also signs along with talking. His favorite of course is "Please", but he thinks he should get whatever he has asked for as long as he says please. He has also mastered "Thank you" and sounds so cute when he says it. My Mom laughs because he says thank you for everything, even when you give him medicine. Speaking of medicine, we have had two more ear infections this month. We now have an appointment with the ear, nose & throat specialist to talk about tubes. I would like to use this forum to apologize to my parents. Parker has inherited my temper and I now know what they had to put up with. Along with a temper, he is a naughty little boy. Perfect combination right? A perfect example is our trip to the park this afternoon. Parker was playing in the sand and found a piece of styrofoam. He tried to put it in his mouth so I said "No No" and pulled his hand down. He looked straight at me and put it right back in his mouth. Typical toddler you say... Well, I took the styrofoam away so he grabbed a rock and put it right in his mouth with out blinking. Still looking right at my. I took the rock away and again, without looking away he grabbed a handful of sand and put it right in his mouth. I shook as much sand out of his mouth as I could and picked him up to take him out of the park. He SCREAMED!!!! Back arched, face as red as a tomato. He locked his legs straight so I couldn't get him in the stroller and SCREAMED. Eventually I won ( I always do) and he succombed to the stroller and we made our way home. To quote Roger, "It too shall pass"! New baby update!!! We are now 14 weeks and at the end of the first trimester. I don't have morning sickness, I just feel like crap most of the time and have been very tired. I have also had headaches the past few weeks and have already gotten a vericose vein. This child is already trying to kill me!! Luckily, the vericose vein was caused by some kind of occlusion that has since opened and has dissipated. We had an appointment on Monday and the Doctor said the headaches should also dissipate in the next couple of weeks. Along with the second trimester comes more energy and I am soooo excited!! There just isn't enough time to do everything when you are in bed at 8 oclock at night. Besides that everything is going well. This child is a very hungry child and is expanding my belly a lot quicker than Parker did. My clothes are already starting to get tight and I will be busting out the maternity clothes in the next couple of weeks. Hope you all have had as much fun as we have this past month. Here are some of the new pictures.
