The 1st Thanksgiving (for Parker at least)

I am very thankful for my family, my friends, and most of all my amazing little boy. He makes our life complete in every way, and makes the holiday so much more fun! We had a very low key Thanksgiving this year. We had a store bought Thanksgiving dinner so that we could spend more time with friends and family, and less time cooking and cleaning. Our festivities started on Wednesday night when Cherie and Masen came over to play.
The airplane is a favorite of all of the boys.
My turn, My turn!
On Thanksgiving we had some friends and family over to our house. Jeff and Kelly came over with their 1 month old baby Wyatt. My Mom, Grandma, and my little brother Cameron came over too. We had a really good dinner from Basha's and sat in front of the TV watching football. It was fun and relaxing and oh so yummy!

On Friday we met my Cousin Johnny, his girlfriend JJ and thier baby Jaya at the park so the kids could play. Jaya is 5 months old.
Parker LOVES to go down the slide. He crawls up the stairs on his own, crawls to the slide, stretches out like superman and away he goes! He slows down enough at the end to crawl off on his own and do it all over again.
I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and enjoy the up coming holiday season!

Zickerts' Wedding

CONGRATULATIONS MATT & LISA!!!
Let me start by saying the Zickert's wedding was beautiful! I wasn't able to get pictures during the ceremony (arms were full of PJ), and my batteries died on the party bus with spares in the diaper bag, so I am missing a LOT of pictures. Here are a few of what I did get.
The wedding was held at St. Patricks (same place Bean and Shayne got married). It was unseasonably warm and sunny for a November in Wisconsin. A perfect day for a wedding. After the service the wedding party and their dates boarded a party bus and made the rounds. First, to outdoor pictures by the Zickert's home, then to Deerfield, a stop in Marshall, a last one in Sun Prairie and on to the reception at the Round Table in Sun Prairie. We had so much fun!!
The Bride was beautiful, the groom was so happy he was goofy. We are so happy they found each other, and we are so happy to have been part of their big day.

Parker LOVED his Yooper bar. Thank you Mr & Mrs Kempany!
Of course he did!!

Wisconsin Visit

We spent the first week of November in Wisconsin to celebrate the wedding of our good friend Matt Zickert and his wonderful bride Lisa (pics in next post). We really enjoyed the fall weather from the chilly 30 degree Halloween night to the 70 degree wedding day. Parker loved to play outside on the grass and in the leaves. We had a wonderful time visiting all of our friends and family. You don't realize how much you miss them until you have to leave again. Thank you all who made our trip so much fun. We love you very much and miss you tremendously.
We spent an afternoon at Julie's house and enjoyed her front yard.
Here we were trying to do a self-family portrait
We spent a night at my Uncle Dave's in Illinois and were able to meet our new cousin Kylie Shae.
We stayed with Matt's parents and they watched Parker for us while we went out with friends and did the non-kid friendly (but oh so fun) wedding stuff.
We spent an afternoon at the Zoo with Julie, Maddox & Zane. The Henry Villas Zoo is free and had an amazing play structure for the kids. Parker LOVED looking at the animals and playing on the playground. He would get mad and cry and arch his back whenever I would pick him up to put him on a new toy. He thought I we were leaving and he didn't want to go!
Grandma Jo watched Parker for a day so Matt, my Dad and I could go golfing.
First, Parker had to help Papa Doug fix Aunt DD's roof.
Yep, that is about the biggest smile you will get from my Dad when it comes to pictures.

Halloween 2009

Darth Vader was lucky enough to celebrate Halloween twice this year. First, he went to Trunk or Treat at the YMCA with Nana Becki and Daddy. Mommy was home sick :(
And then for the actual Halloween we were in Wisconsin with Matt's family. It was fun to trick or treat in the cold with his cousin Maddox.
Papa stayed home to hand out candy
He loved being able to pick out his own candy
Trick or treating at Aunt Rachels house
And the best part about halloween in Wisconsin is the leaves!!
