Parker's Baptism
We traveled back to Wisconsin for Parker's baptism. We had an open house prior to the baptism to visit with friends and family. The baptism and party were wonderful, even more so than we imagined. Thank you everyone who was able to attend, especially those who traveled long distances to see us. We really do appreciate you taking time to visit us and be part of our special day. Also, special thanks to Matt (Ennen) and Dawn for being Parker's Godparents. We are very happy to have you as part of Parker's family!

Centering Reunion
Matt and I attended "Centering" classes at the birth center for our prenatal classes. They were a combination of our prenatal appointments and childbirth classes with a group of people all due in December. We are all so lucky that our babies were born healthy, and we had a reunion earlier this week. It was a lot of fun to see all these babies that we had watched grow the past 6 months.

My Very Inventive Brother and More
Wow, we have had a busy few months and it just gets busier. We have been home from Wisconsin for a week now, and we leave to go back on Wednesday already. I know that I've slacked on updating and now I don't remember everything I want to say.
Parker is now 5 weeks old, and he is getting so big. He is now "talking" and is a very vocal little boy. He is very strong. He will flex his legs and stand up when you hold him under his arms, he also will bounce up and down. He likes to use his muscles and will hold on to your fingers and let you pull him from a lounging to a sitting position. He smiles a lot, but I can't seem to get a picture of him smiling. Just today he is really finding his arms and likes to flail them around. He can get his bassinet rocking on his own by moving his little arms and legs. He is still such a good baby, we really lucked out.
We hit some other milestones this week. Parker took his first bottle, which means Matt was able to feed him for the first time. Parker isn't a big fan of the bottle, but likes to eat so he makes it work :) Since he now takes a bottle Matt and I went on our first date without the baby. Parker stayed with my Mom while Matt and I went to see a movie ( highly recommend The Curious Case of Benjamin Button). We enjoyed our time out, but it was really hard to leave Parker.
Parker also attended his first Playoff Party at my brother Tyson's house. Some may call Tyson a redneck, but I think he is just very inventive. For today's party Tyson moved his big screen tv into the garage for the Playoff game. He had the garage door open so that the smokers could sit on the tailgate of the trucks and everyone could watch the game together. My favorite Tyson party was his front yard pool party in the back of his pick-up truck. And to be safe, his friends were wearing life vests in the pool!
Kiara & Jamie had tickets to the game today so her kids were split between my Mom and Matt & I. We took Austin and Cameron to Tyson's while Mom had the younger boys and then after the game we traded so Jake and Brody could spend the night at our house. We haven't had as much time with the boys the past year so it was nice to have them over.
I'm sure there is more I should be saying but it's late so I am off for now.
Wishing you all well !!

New People, New Places
We made an unscheduled trip to Wisconsin this week. We are very happy to see our family and introduce them to our new son, we just wish it was under much different circumstances. We are here for the funeral for Matt's Aunt Sandy & Uncle Albee who were killed in a car accident last Sunday. Please keep Matt's family, and all the family and friends of Sandy & Albee in your thoughts.

New Year's at the Zoo
We had beautiful weather on New Years Day and decided to take Parker on his first trip to the zoo. He was unimpressed for the most part, but he did wake up at the end when we went through the South America part. I had him out of his stroller and let him watch the fish and turtles swim. He did seem to enjoy that part.

Happy New Year!!!
We hope you all had a safe and sound New Years Eve, and wishing you all a wonderful 2009! We celebrated New Years Eve at our house with with Matt's parents (Jim & Sandy) and our friends Ennen & Deann, and Parker of course. We spent the night playing cards and dice and loosing all our money to Ennen, and then woke Parker up to ring in his first New Year. We had an amazing 2008 and are looking forward to everything this new year brings us.

I have tried to get a picture of this scrunched nose look on Parker's face, but just haven't been able to. It is the cutest thing!

Things to do in Arizona
We have had beautiful weather here in Arizona. Our families trips started with 30 degree weather and snow, but has ended in sunny 70 degree weather. You can't beat that for December. We have taken advantage of this weather by doing all the things you can't do in Wisconsin in December.
Parker just being his beautiful self
A gorgeous view
Congratulations to Matt!!!
Matt took his "3 favorite women" to Benihana's to celebrate his promotion to IT Manager. It was a fun dinner with great food and great company. I love that our families get along so well together.
